I get tons of emails from people about the homeless pets, tons. Many times i try to pawn these pets off on you. They are always shared with rescues and we find a way to give the four legged friends a second life. This story touched my heart. Maybe because truly this is Mike’s Second, Second Chance. He was rescued before and his rescuers failed him. They kept him chained up, fed him scraps, never treated the fleas or put him on heartworm prevention. Mike is now severely underweight and needs to be treated for heartworms. He is finally on flea prevention. He is about as mellow and sweet as can be. He has been deemed “Mike the Mastiff” as he is a little fighter like Mike the Tiger, plus if I get a say so, the name is going to be Saints or LSU related.
He is now safe at a foster home till he is healthy enough to adopt out. Until complete vetting, the costs are unknown. Any extra money will go to Animal Aid for Vermilion Area. I am spearheading this and have included several perks, including art. I really hope that each of you donate and/or share. Thank you so much for your help and prayers. Check out the campaign below. Can we save Mike in 7 days? I think so!
Take a moment to check it out on Indiegogo and also share it with your friends. All the tools are there. Get perks, make a contribution, or simply follow updates. If enough of us get behind it, we can make ‘Mike the Mastiff’s Second Chance’ happen. Check out the campaign here
